Mayawati may be repeatedly talking about contesting the elections alone in the state, but UP Congress in-charge Avinash Pandey has made it clear by inviting her to join with the opposition parties that the doors of India alliance are open for BSP. When BSP supremo Mayawati spoke to journalists on her birthday on January 15, her attitude also appeared a bit soft.
Political stir intensifies due to Mayawati’s signal
Even though Mayawati did not clarify her strategy regarding the India alliance, she indirectly expressed her support towards the policies of Congress by mentioning EVM and SIR. Not only this, he also said that if any party can transfer the upper caste votes in his favour, then they can form an alliance in future.
In fact, Mayawati has often been alleging that in the alliance BSP gets votes for other parties but her party does not get support. The BSP supremo’s gesture is being linked to Congress. Because, the upper caste angry with BJP has no problem with Congress and Muslim and Dalit voters are also comfortable with Congress.
In such a situation, if the Congress party can take Mayawati into confidence, then a new political equation can be seen in the politics of UP in the upcoming elections. On the other hand, Akhilesh Yadav’s softness towards Mayawati is also indicating a lot.
