If a player gets injured while playing for the national team before the tournament. If he has to miss the IPL season due to this injury, it is not necessary that all the players will get the full money. For example, Harshit Rana is currently injured and even if he is out of the entire tournament, he will still get the full money i.e. Rs 4 crore. The money will not be given to him by KKR franchise but by BCCI. Actually, BCCI insurance policy is applicable for the players coming under the central contract list.

The IPL franchise is not obliged to pay money to a player who is out of the tournament due to injury. If a player is out due to injury after playing a few matches of the season, then the franchise will pay him some money. If a player gets injured during the season, the franchise will also have to bear the cost of his treatment.

Let us tell you that IPL 2026 is going to start from March 28 and the first match of the season will be played between Royal Challengers Bangalore. The complete schedule of IPL 2026 has not been revealed yet. BCCI has released the schedule of only 20 matches.
