Greenland’s Prime Minister Jens Frederik Nielsen strongly hit back at Trump’s statement. He said, ‘Enough is enough. No pressure, no hint and no fantasy of inclusion in America. He made it clear that talks are possible, but it will happen only according to international law and through the right diplomatic path.
Denmark said- America has no right to occupy
Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said that America has no right to annex any part of the Danish Empire. He told that Denmark and Greenland are members of NATO and already have a defense agreement with America.
Britain’s support, yet Trump remains adamant
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has supported Denmark, but despite this, Trump did not seem to back down from his stance. He reiterated that Greenland is very important for the security of America, Europe and the ‘Free World’. Starmer said that only Greenland and Denmark can decide the future of Greenland and no third country has the right to interfere in it.
