This statement of Donald Trump has come before his possible meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping. In an interview with Fox Business, when Donald Trump was asked whether the tariffs imposed by the two countries on each other at the beginning of this year could remain equal? On this, President Trump said, ‘This tariff is not sustainable. But these are the figures. It could work, but they forced me to do it. He said, ‘He will meet Chinese President Xi Jinping in the next two weeks and he feels that everything will be fine with China.’
China is always looking for advantage – Trump
President Trump told Fox Business, ‘China is always trying to gain advantage. I don’t know what’s going to happen. Now let’s see what will happen next. At the same time, this tariff dispute between Washington and Beijing has increased the US import tax on Chinese goods to 145 percent, which has increased fears about the global economic recession.
However, those tariffs were paused for 90 days under the agreement. If this agreement between China and America is not extended in between, then this agreement is going to end on November 10.
Donald Trump threatened China
US President Donald Trump last week threatened to impose 100 percent additional tariffs on Chinese goods from November 1, 2025, and even considered canceling a possible meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping. This meeting between the Presidents of the two countries is expected to take place during the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit to be held in South Korea later this month.
