The cost of air tickets, which used to drain the pockets of families till now, will now get huge discounts. If we talk about Bihar, this facility will be available to more than one crore students of the state. However, the Central Government has announced to give discount on air tickets to students with Apar ID under the ‘One Nation-One Student’ initiative. This will also provide convenience to students of other states.
The Education Ministry has started a new initiative for this. The Ministry is now working towards expanding the scope of benefits of Apar Card, so that students can get facilities in education as well as other services. It is a unique ID card which combines all the educational information of the student at one place. It contains digital records of studies, examination results, enrollment related information and certificates from school to college. This means that now children will not have the fear of losing their marksheet or certificate, everything will be available on just one click.
Which students can get Apar card made?
All students, whether studying in a government institution or a private one, can get AAPAR card made. This card is easily made through the website of the education department or the school. The school uploads the Aadhaar number and academic records of the student, after which a unique Apar ID is issued to the student. With this ID, the student can view, download all his academic records anytime and can use it at the time of admission in college or any institution.
How will this card be made?
- Students first go to the website of the Ministry of Education https://www.abc.gov.in.
- After this, you will see ‘My Account’ section in the top right corner of the website. Click on it.
- Now select the option of ‘Student’.
- Then you have to register on DigiLocker.
- After this, during registration, the student will have to fill his Aadhaar number and some basic information.
- Now after logging in to DigiLocker, share your Aadhaar information for KYC verification.
- After this fill the name, class and details of the school or college.
- Then click on submit.
