India created history in the Women’s ODI World Cup 2025. Under the leadership of Harmanpreet Kaur, Team India won the World Cup title for the first time by defeating South Africa by 52 runs in the final. After this victory, not only the faces of the players lit up, but the BCCI also showered huge rewards on Team India. You will be surprised to know the prize money received by Pakistan team.
Pakistan’s condition is bad
While the Indian team was showered with prizes, the Pakistan women’s cricket team got only Rs 4.7 crore. Pakistan’s performance in the tournament was very disappointing. She lost all her matches and stood 8th in the points table.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) did not announce any additional prize money in view of the poor performance of the team. The team received only that amount which was fixed by the ICC for the number 8 team, i.e. 14.95 crore Pakistani rupees, which is approximately 4.70 crore rupees in Indian currency.
India benefited crores of rupees
Team India received a total prize money of Rs 91 crore for winning the Women’s World Cup 2025. Out of this, Rs 40 crore was given to the champion team by ICC, while the remaining Rs 51 crore was announced by BCCI as a bonus to the players and support staff. BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia said that this award is a recognition of the hard work and dedication of the Indian players.
Apart from this, it has also been decided to give individual rewards to each player. According to reports, each player in the playing eleven will be given a bonus amount of around Rs 2 crore and the reserve players will be given a bonus amount of up to Rs 1 crore.
Big difference in prizes between India and Pakistan
If we talk about rewards, the difference between India and Pakistan is clearly visible. While India got a reward of Rs 91 crore, Pakistan barely got a reward of around Rs 5 crore. This difference tells what kind of performance both the teams have had on the field.
