Money rains on Team India

After becoming the champion, the Indian team was showered with money in the form of ICC prize money. ICC awarded the winning Team India of Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 with prize money of $ 4.48 million (about Rs 40 crore). This is the largest prize money so far, which is about 239 percent more than the $1.32 million received by Australia in the 2022 World Cup. This award reflects the growing popularity of women’s cricket and its global influence.

South Africa also got a big reward

At the same time, runner-up South Africa also got a great reward. The South African team, which reached the final under the captaincy of Laura Wolwart, was given an amount of $ 2.24 million (approximately Rs 20 crore). This amount is about 273 percent more than the $600,000 received by England in the 2022 World Cup.

Big money to semi-final teams also

ICC gave equal respect to both the teams Australia and England who lost in the semi-finals. Both were awarded prize money of 1.12 million dollars (about Rs 9.3 crore). In the previous edition, the teams that lost the semi-finals received only $3 lakh, due to which this amount has increased more than three times.
