According to TOI report, there are 5 such dangerous weapons in the world, which have the potential to destroy the enemy in the battlefield.
1. Maxim Gun
In the year 1884, Hiram Maxim created the world’s first fully automatic machine gun, which was called the Maxim Gun. This gun could fire about 600 bullets in a minute. It was used extensively in the First World War. Because of this gun, a large number of soldiers were killed and fighting started in the trenches.
2. Rifle and Mini Ball
Compared to old guns, the rifle could aim farther and more accurately. A bullet called Mini Ball made the rifle more dangerous. Rifles like Springfield, Lee-Enfield and Mauser were used extensively during the American Civil War and the First World War. The number of deaths in the war increased significantly due to these weapons.
3. Atomic bomb
Nuclear weapons are considered the most dangerous weapons in the world. In the Second World War, America dropped atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan. About 2 lakh people died in these blasts. The power of a nuclear bomb is so great that an entire city can be destroyed in a few seconds. According to the report of International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICANW), at present only 9 countries in the world have nuclear weapons. America, Russia, China, India, Pakistan, UK, France, Israel and North Korea are in this list. Russia has the maximum number of 5459 nuclear weapons. America is at second place, which has 5277 nuclear weapons. Whereas India has 180 nuclear weapons.
4. Biological weapons
Biological weapons are weapons that use disease-causing germs, viruses or poisons. In ancient times, the enemy was made sick by polluting water. In today’s time, germs like anthrax and plague can be used, which are very dangerous.
5. Shock Cavalry
In the medieval period, the cavalry army was considered very powerful. Soldiers riding fast horses used to attack the enemy directly. This would break the enemy lines and create chaos. This strategy led to victory in many big wars. These weapons made war more dangerous and left a deep mark in history. Even today the world remembers the lessons learned from them.
