Which Is the Most Painful Disease in the World: Pain is a feeling that signals us that something is not right in the body. Generally people feel pain from time to time, but continuous pain is different. When pain persists for six months or more, it is called chronic pain. This pain is a sign of our nervous system. It may be mild, stinging, numbing or sharp. Sometimes it is limited to one part of the body, and sometimes it is felt in the entire body. In this, difficult coordination works between nerves, spinal cord and brain.

Pain is considered to be of two types: acute which lasts for a short period of time and chronic whose effect is seen for a long time. Short-term pain is usually associated with a problem such as an injury, cut, bruise or sprain and resolves within three to six months.
