Gujarat Giants kept a strong score
Batting first after losing the toss, Gujarat Giants put 174 runs on the board in 20 overs. The team had a steady start and Beth Mooney strengthened the innings from one end. He played a responsible inning of 58 runs and did not let the run rate fall. Anushka Sharma supported him well and added 39 runs. In the last overs, Tanuja Kanwar batted fast and scored 21 runs in just 11 balls, due to which Gujarat could reach a challenging score.

Delhi’s bad start, then a tremendous comeback

In the 17th over, both of them together scored 23 runs, which included four brilliant fours by Nicky. After this, 10 runs came in the 18th over and 20 runs came against Ashley Gardner in the 19th over. Delhi added 53 runs in three overs and the match seemed to have completely turned around.
Gujarat’s comeback in the last over
In the last over, Delhi needed only 9 runs to win, but here the experience showed wonders. Sophie Devine, who came to bowl the last over, bowled brilliantly with her experience and gave away only 5 runs under pressure. The struggle continued till the last ball, but Delhi team could not reach the target. Delhi could score only 171 runs at the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs and lost the match.
