Mumbai Indians batsman Nat Sciver-Brunt has become the first player to score a century in the history of the Women’s Premier League (WPL). With this, she has become the first batsman to touch the 300-run mark in three different WPL seasons.
Nat Sciver-Brunt played 10 matches in the year 2023, in which she scored 332 runs at an average of 66.40. At the same time, in IPL 2025, she was the top batsman of the season with 523 runs in 10 matches. In WPL 2026, Brunt has scored 319 runs at an average of 79.75, playing innings of 4, 70, 65, 15, 65* and 100* runs. During this period, Brunt’s strike rate was 154.85.
The 33-year-old right-handed player scored unbeaten 100 runs facing 57 balls in the 16th match of WPL 2026 against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Monday. This innings included 1 six and 16 fours.
Nat Sciver-Brunt is the first player to score a century in the history of Women’s WPL. In the year 2025, while playing for UP Warriors, Georgia Woll played an inning of 99* runs against RCB. Whereas in the year 2023, while playing for RCB, Sophie Devine was out on 99 runs against Gujarat Giants.
Nat Sciver-Brunt is the player with the most runs (1346) and most half-centuries (12) in the league. She is also the batsman involved in the most century partnerships (5) in WPL history.
With the help of Brunt’s stormy innings at the BCA Stadium on Monday, Mumbai Indians scored 199 runs after losing 4 wickets in the stipulated overs. The team had lost the wicket of Sajeevan Sajna (7) on the score of 16. From here Brunt along with Hayley Mathews put the team in a strong position by scoring 131 runs in 73 balls.
Mathews was out after scoring 56 runs in 39 balls with 9 fours, after which Brunt added 42 runs for the third wicket with captain Harmanpreet Kaur (20). For RCB, Lauren Bell took maximum 2 wickets, while Nadine de Klerk and Shreyanka Patil took 1 wicket each.
