Xiaomi 16 May Get 50 Megapixel Triple Rear Camera Unit, Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 Chipset

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi’s next flagship Xiaomi 16 can be launched this year. It will replace Xiaomi 15 introduced last year. Some leaks about this smartphone have been reported. This can be the first device with the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset of Qualcomm.

Tipster Digital Chat Station alleged Xiaomi 16 Specifications Has leaked This smartphone can be given a 6.3 inch flat OLED display. Its screen may have thin bezels on all four sides. This smartphone can run on the Hyperos 3.0 interface of Xiaomi based on Android 16. The company had Hyperos 2.0 for Android in Xiaomi 15. Xiaomi 16 can find Qualcomm’s early launch Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset.

The triple rear camera unit of this smartphone can be given a 50-megapixel 1/1.3 inch primary camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera. The same camera setup was also given in Xiaomi 15. Xiaomi 16 can have a battery of more than 6,500 mAh. A 5,240 mAh battery was given in the variants launched in India of Xiaomi 15. However, the Chinese variant of this smartphone had a 5,400 mAh battery. Xiaomi 16 can be introduced in China in late September or October. The international launch of this smartphone can be a few months later.

In October last year, Xiaomi 15 was introduced with Xiaomi 15 Pro. This smartphone was launched in India in March this year. Its 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage variants are worth about Rs 64,999. The Xiaomi 15 series received good response from customers. In Xiaomi’s January-March period, the international shipments of the smartphone have been around 4.18 crore units. This is the seventh consecutive quarter in which the company has recorded growth in smartphone shipments on a year-by-year basis. Revenue of the company’s smartphone division has increased by about 8.9 percent to about Rs 59,961 crore on a year-by-year basis. The company claims that it has upheld its position in the top three companies in smartphone shipments in the ninth quarter consecutive quarter.
