Xiaomi 16 May Get 6.9 Inch Display, 7,000mAh Battery

The next flagship smartphone of Chinese devices maker Xiaomi can be launched soon. In Xiaomi 16, the next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset of Qualcomm can be given. Some leaks have been reported about the specifications of this smartphone.

Tipster Digital Chat Station has a China’s microblogging platform on Weibo Post It is reported that Xiaomi 16 can get 6.3X display. This is indicating the display of this smartphone between 6.31 inches to 6.9 inches. However, the display of Xiaomi 16 is less likely to be larger than Xiaomi 15. This tipster has said that this smartphone will have a 7,000 mAh battery. Xiaomi 15 has a 5,240 mAh battery.

Xiaomi 16 can be introduced in China in September. A few months later, this smartphone can be launched in the international market. This can occur in early smartphones with Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset. The triple rear camera unit of this smartphone can be given a 50-megapixel 1/1.3 inch primary camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera. Xiaomi 15 also had the same camera setup.

In October last year, Xiaomi 15 was introduced in China with Xiaomi 15 Pro. This smartphone was launched in India in March this year. Its 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage variants are worth about Rs 64,999. The Xiaomi 15 series received good response from customers. In the January-March period of the company, the international shipments of the smartphone have been around 4.18 crore units. This is the seventh consecutive quarter in which the company has recorded growth in smartphone shipments on a year-by-year basis. Revenue of the company’s smartphone division has increased by about 8.9 percent to about Rs 59,961 crore on a year-by-year basis. Xiaomi claims that it has upheld its position in the top three companies in smartphone shipments in the ninth quarter consecutive quarter. The company has increased sales of smartphones in India. In the first quarter, the average selling price (ASP) of Xiaomi’s smartphones increased to Rs 14,372. This is a record for the company.
