Mahindra has launched its new XUV 3XO EV at a starting price of Rs 13.89 lakh (ex-showroom). This electric SUV has got about 1.8 lakh customers so far. XUV 3XO EV directly competes with Tata Nexon EV and MG Windsor EV. All three vehicles fall in the compact electric SUV segment and are attracting customers on the basis of their features and range. Who is ahead in battery pack and range?

Mahindra XUV 3XO EV has a 39.4 kWh battery, which gives a range of about 285 km. It can be considered suitable for everyday travel in and around the city. Tata Nexon EV comes with two battery options. Its large battery pack claims a range of up to 489 km on a single charge, which is the highest in the segment. MG Windsor EV also gets two battery options and the range of its larger battery pack goes up to 449 km. Nexon EV clearly leads in terms of range.

Which EV gives more value in price?

• The price of XUV 3XO EV starts from Rs 13.89 lakh and goes up to Rs 14.96 lakh. Tata Nexon EV has the widest range, with a starting price of Rs 12.49 lakh and the top variant going up to Rs 17.29 lakh. The price of MG Windsor EV starts from Rs 13.99 lakh and reaches Rs 18.39 lakh. For budget EV lovers, the base variant of Nexon EV seems more affordable.

Which SUV is at the forefront in features?

• Mahindra XUV 3XO EV is quite powerful in terms of features. It has panoramic sunroof, level-2 ADAS, 360-degree camera, dual 10.25-inch screen and Harman Kardon sound system. Tata Nexon EV has a large touchscreen, ADAS, ventilated seats and a strong safety package. MG Windsor EV is known for its large 15.6-inch touchscreen, V2L technology and comfortable cabin.

Which electric SUV is right for you?

• If you want the latest features and technology, then Mahindra XUV 3XO EV is a better option. If your priority is long range and a better brand, then Tata Nexon EV offers the most value. Whereas for space, comfort and premium feel, MG Windsor EV becomes a strong contender.
