Meditation Benefits: Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev recently gave the message of health and discipline to the country and the world through a Facebook Live session from Patanjali Sanyas Ashram. While doing yoga asanas and pranayama with his team, he emphasized that human energy is an invaluable resource, which should be used to maintain health and channel it in the right direction instead of wasting it in fighting diseases.
According to Ramdev Baba, yoga is effective only when there is complete harmony between mind and breath. During the session, he underlined the importance of concentration in Pranayama and told that discipline, awareness and preventive health are the solutions to the physical and mental problems of modern life.
Traditional medicine and ‘rejuvenation’
This session featured special discussion on traditional yogic and therapeutic practices. Baba Ramdev mentioned ancient purification methods like Shank Prakshalan, Colon Therapy, Basti and Panchakarma-Shatkarma. He described these methods as time-tested for internal purification and ‘kayakalp’ (overall rejuvenation). According to him, these exercises help in enhancing digestive health, metabolic balance and overall vitality when done under guidance.
Impact of yoga on modern diseases
Contemporary lifestyle concerns such as obesity, Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes were also addressed during the session. Ramdev cited historical and current research related to insulin-dependent patients to explain how yoga, meditation and a systematic exercise routine can serve as adjunctive approaches along with conventional medical treatment. He clarified that these exercises are not a substitute for medical treatment, but complementary tools for wellness.
Opportunities and accessibility in the wellness sector
The yoga guru also threw light on mental clarity, stress management and emotional balance through meditation. Apart from this, he also mentioned the emerging employment opportunities in the wellness sector, which are opening new avenues for trained yoga instructors. Finally, he said that through Patanjali’s platform, people can access these wellness therapies from the comfort of their homes, making traditional health practices more accessible to the general public.
