According to media reports, today Minister Suresh Khanna can announce a plan to increase the pension of destitute women in the Assembly. This step of the Yogi government is also being linked to the assembly elections to be held next year. So that women voters can be wooed.
Finance Minister can announce in the House today
Under the plan to increase the pension of 1.06 crore destitute women in UP, the disabled, elderly people and destitute women are included in the scope of social pension. CM Yogi had announced in the assembly
Let us tell you that before the year 2017, destitute women in Uttar Pradesh were given Rs 300 per month as disability pension and others were given Rs 500 per month. But after Yogi Adityanath became the Chief Minister, the pension amount was increased to Rs 1,000 per month. In the 2022 elections, BJP had announced in its manifesto to increase it to Rs 1500 per month.
CM Yogi Adityanath’s government is now going to fulfill this promise.
