Under the plan to increase the pension of 1.06 crore destitute women in UP, the disabled, elderly people and destitute women are included in the scope of social pension. The picture will become clear in the Assembly today by how much these pensions can be increased, when Finance Minister Suresh Khanna will present his views in the House during the discussion on the budget.
CM Yogi had announced in the assembly
Let us tell you that before the year 2017, destitute women in Uttar Pradesh were given Rs 300 per month as disability pension and others were given Rs 500 per month. But after Yogi Adityanath became the Chief Minister, the pension amount was increased to Rs 1,000 per month. In the 2022 elections, BJP had announced in its manifesto to increase it to Rs 1500 per month.
CM Yogi Adityanath’s government is now going to fulfill this promise. The Chief Minister had also announced this on Friday, now this pension will be Rs 1500 and the amount will be something else, Finance Minister Suresh Khanna can reveal this today.
