The Yogi government has given a big gift to the youth of Uttar Pradesh. Till now, the youth in the state used to get mobile phones. Now they will be given tablets. This information was given in a press conference by the government.
It was informed in the press conference that under the Swami Vivekananda Youth Empowerment Scheme, free tablets/smartphones for technical empowerment of youth under the Youth Empowerment Scheme should be distributed in the meeting concluded in the meeting held on 12.07.2022 of the Council of Ministers in the meeting held on 12.07.2022. It is proposed to be decided to distribute only tablets for all beneficiaries in place of the tablet/smartphone.
It was said that in the event of a decision on the above proposal, in the meeting held on 22.01.2025 of the Council of Ministers, in connection with the purchase of 25 lakh smartphones, it is proposed to be resolved on the mandate number- 1/860757/2025 (1480649), dated 24.01.2025. The scheme is applicable for 05 years.

Provision of 2000.00 crores
It was informed that a provision of Rs 2000.00 crore has been made for the current financial year 2025-26. There will be no expenditure on the central government. By providing smart phones to the beneficiaries under various teaching / training programs etc. under various teaching / training programs under the state, not only will they be able to successfully complete their educational courses by providing free phones to the beneficiaries, while they will be able to use it in various government / non -government and self -reliance schemes. The youth of the state can be technically empowered.
After the cabinet meeting, it was reported that approval on the proposal will be more effectively applied to the scheme with better use of tablets, better battery capacity, productivity apps like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Sheets etc., more and more use in educational work, etc. This is an innovative scheme to distribute tablets to make the youth of the state technically empowered. After the technology of the youth of the state, the youth will be assisted in the creation and service to the youth.
