What is Swami Vivekananda Youth Empowerment Scheme?
Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh is providing free tablets and smartphones to students studying undergraduate, graduate, post graduate and technical courses under Swami Vivekananda Youth Empowerment Scheme (Mission DigiShakti) to provide digital access to children and help them in their studies and skills.
To avail the benefits of this scheme, the candidate must fulfill all the eligibility conditions.
Scheme eligibility
- To avail the benefits of this scheme, the candidate must be a resident of Uttar Pradesh.
- The candidate should be studying graduation, post graduation, diploma, medical or other professional course.
- The annual income of the candidate’s family should be less than Rs 2 lakh.
- The student should be a student of any government or private college.
How to apply for free tablets and smartphones?

- After this click on Education and Scholarship and then click on Uttar Pradesh Free Tablet Smartphone Scheme.
- After this click on the option of Apply for the scheme.
- Now fill the application form and fill all the necessary information correctly and click on submit option.
How to check Digi Shakti portal and status?
- On behalf of your college or university, the data of the students studying there is uploaded directly on the Digi Shakti portal.
- When your data is uploaded by the college or university, students have to go to the Digi Shakti portal and complete their e-KYC through MeriPehchaan.
- Any student can check his/her status in Student Corner by visiting the portal.
- When the entire process is completed, the college or university will inform you about the date and place of free mobile and tablet distribution.
