Yogi government’s statement came amid claims of fertilizer shortage in UP, this information given about all 18 mandals

Amid claims of shortage of fertilizers in Uttar Pradesh, the state government has said that there is no problem. Apart from this, the government has said that it is taking a tough stand on black marketing too. In a statement, the Yogi government gave information about the availability and sale of fertilizer in all 18 mandals. It was told that from April 1 to August 18, 2025, 42.64 lakh metric tonnes of fertilizer was sold. It was claimed that this year 4.37 lakh metric tonnes of urea were sold compared to last year.

On the other hand, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed that the officers should monitor continuously in the districts so that the farmers do not face trouble. Along with this, CM Yogi has also appealed to the farmers. He has said that do not store fertilizers, whenever you want, take essential manure.

Availability of fertilizer

In a statement, the government said that the availability of UP urea was the availability of 37.70 lakh metric tonnes in the state till August 18, out of which 31.62 lakh metric tonnes have been procured by the farmers.

On DAP, the government said that till August 18, 9.25 lakh m. Ton was availed, out of which 5.38 lakh m. Farmers have purchased tons. In the context of NPK, the government said that till August 18 there was a availability of 5.40 lakh m ton, out of which farmers have purchased 2.39 lakh metric tonnes.

It was reported that sales of 4.37 lakh metric tonnes more urea than last year- 16.04% (quantity 4.37 lakh m ton) more urea fertilizer has been sold this year as compared to last year.
