Yograj Singh on Vaibhav Suryavanshi: Yograj Singh is known for his sharp statements, now he has put a new challenge in front of young cricketers in IPL 2025. He praised many young cricketers who performed well in IPL 2025 including Vaibhav Suryavanshi. Along with this, he also said that the real greatness comes from Test cricket. Talking about Vaibhav, he has also been selected in India’s Under-19 team going to England soon.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi was included in his squad by Rajasthan Royals for Rs 1.10 crore. Suryavanshi faced big bowlers firmly and scored a total of 252 runs in the tournament. He also received the ‘Curve Super Striker of the Season’ award in IPL 2025, as he batting with the best strike rate (206.55) in the tournament. This award is given to the batsman who plays at least 100 balls at the best strike rate.
What did Yograj Singh say?
During the talks with Inside Sport, Yograj Singh said, “Test cricket is the best for me, can you survive 5 days? That is the real test. I do not consider 50 overs and 20 overs format as the best. Still the game is played in these formats, but I believe that a player should be fit to play in all three formats.” Yograj Singh said why players struggle, because they are focusing a lot on T20, IPL and 50 overs cricket. He said that today players are tired of playing 50 overs.
Yograj Singh, simultaneously aiming at the coaches and officials who sit in the AC (air conditioner), he himself claimed to prepare a cricketer like Yuvraj Singh by training at 48 degrees temperature.
