How to get voter cards canceled?
- If you have two voter cards. So it is necessary to cancel a voter card. For this, you will first have to visit the official website of Election Commission of India https://voters.eci.gov.in/. If you already have an account then you have to login. If not, then you have to register with mobile number and email.
- After this, you will have to go to the ‘Forms’ section on the homepage and click on Form 7 (Objection for Inclusion/Deletion of Name). In which you have to fill your details. In which there will be information like name, address, date of birth, voter ID number.

- After this you have to tell why you want to cancel the card. For this, you have to select a duplicate card or double registration in ‘Reason for Delet’. After this, you have to upload a copy of your voter ID.
- After uploading a copy of the voter card, you can submit the form. After submitting the form, you will get a reference number through which you can check the status of your request. Your BLO can also come to your house to verify based on your request. The whole process may take 15 to 30 days.
What will happen if you do not get canceled?
If you have two voter cards. And you did not cancel a voter card. So there can be a problem later. The Election Commission considers it to be legally wrong. Because the name of a person should not be registered more than one place. If it is found that you have two voters ID. So your name can be removed from both places.
