Actor Vikrant Massey is not in need of any identity today. He started his career journey from TV and earned name in the world of films and web series. Fans like Vikrant Massey’s acting very much. He received the National Award for the film 12th Fail. This film was made by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. He told Vikrant that you are a TV actor. Who will come to watch your film? Now Vikrant has talked about this in an interview with ABP News.
You had no family support. You started with small roles in 2004 and after that it was a long struggle. By the time you reached success, you might have felt that you don’t know whether this industry will support you or not.
What did Vikrant Massey say on the struggle?
Vikrant said, ‘Struggles happen in the lives of all of us. Like you said, everyone has their own struggles. I too have my own. You also have your own. What should I tell?
Then when he was asked whether there was ever any shortage of money. Or has any director ever said that you are a TV actor? On this Vikrant said, ‘Vinod Sir had also said that you are a TV actor. Why would anyone come to the theater to watch your picture? And to some extent this was also true. When we were talking about 12th fail. Long time ago. Meaning, this was one and a half year before the shoot.
“You are a TV actor, why would anyone come to watch your picture…”: Before making ’12th Fail’, director Vidhu Vinod Chopra had said this to Vikrant Massey! @chitraaum , @VikrantMassey , https://t.co/smwhXURgtc#ChitraTripathiOnABP #CharchaWithChitra #VikrantMassey pic.twitter.com/RcRFchXax2

Vikrant further said, ‘But if we talk about struggle, no 16 year old child wants to go out of the house and work by his choice. When you get down from the same building and see that your friends are playing cricket and you have to take the train to work. So there are many reasons behind this. You have to support yourself. You have to support your family and your studies. I have no regrets. And as for starting with TV in 2004, it was difficult. Because there was also a belief that TV actors cannot work in films and even if they do, they will have to become friends of the hero. My beginning was also somewhere there. That internal struggle that is going on is still going on today. There are many stories to be told. So the struggle will continue.
