Indian Railways is one of the largest railway networks in the world, which operates about 13,000 trains daily. The journey of the train is not only confused and safe, but also affordable for the common man. Why is this rule important?
The biggest objective of Indian Railways is the safety and convenience of passengers. There are some items that can cause fire in the train, accident or passengers may have trouble. In such a situation, the Railways has decided under the law that it is strictly prohibited to take some things in the train. If a passenger is caught in a train with these banned things, action can be taken against him under Section 164 of the Railway Act. It can be fined up to 1000, jail up to 3 years or both punishment.
What things can you not take in the train?
1. Dry Coconut – It is forbidden to carry dry coconut in the train. The reason for this is that its outer shell is extremely flammable, which can lead to a fire in the train. That’s why vendors also peel and sell it
2. Gas Cylinder – The gas cylinder contains flamble gas which can be very dangerous. There is a danger of leakage due to moving in the train, which can lead to a fire.
3. Crackers and gunpowder – The risk of fire from firecrackers and gunpowder is very high. That is why it is completely forbidden to take them.
4. Acid and Chemical – Hydrochloric acid, toilet cleaner, or any chemical that can burn the skin or which can suffocate, cannot be taken in the train.
5. Petrol, diesel, kerosene and oil – These are all fruitable things. It can be a big danger to transport them in the railway. There is a provision of strict punishment for taking them.
6. Match and stove – Match can lead to fire and the risk increases due to gas or oil in the stove. Therefore, it is forbidden to take these things during the journey.
7. Smell or rotting things – Leather, dry grass, bad food or anything that causes smell, they cannot take them into the train. This can cause trouble to the passengers.
8. Apart from this, according to railway rules, up to 20 kg of ghee can be taken into the train, but it should be well packed in tin compartment so that it does not open or spread.
