Dholpur -gra expressway: The work of constructing an 88 km long Greenfield Express- to connect Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh with Agra in Uttar Pradesh is going to start. Once it is built, the distance between these two cities will be reduced considerably. This road will pass through three states- Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
Road construction work will start from November
The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has given the contract to build this 88.400 km long Greenfield Expressway to a company in Udaipur, which will start the work of making Expressway from November this year. It is expected to be ready by the year 2028.
To build the road, NHAI has also completed land acquisition work in Morena, Agra and Dholpur. This expressway will start from Nirawali Tiraha in Gwalior and will go to Agra-Lucknow Expressway in Agra. An interchange will also be made to connect it to the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway near Kota.
The distance between Agra-Gwalior decreased
Land has been acquired for this six-lane expressway, 14 villages of Uttar Pradesh, 18 in Rajasthan and 30 villages of Madhya Pradesh. Along with this Greenfield Expressway Project, the company will also have to repair the National Highway 44 connecting Gwalior to Agra. Where it takes about three hours from Gwalior to Agra or Agra to Gwalior.
At the same time, after the construction of this project, the distance between the two cities will be reduced by half an hour to reduce in just one and a half hours. People living in Dimani, Abah and Porsa region will benefit the most from this because till now they have to complete 130 kilometers to go to Agra in about 4 hours, while now it will take only 90 minutes.
This will be so much spent in building Greenfield Expressway
A full Rs 4,612.65 crore will be spent to build the Greenfield Expressway. It will have 42 underpasses, eight large and 23 small bridges, five elevated wire, six flyovers and a railway overbridge. GPS based toll system and advance traffic management system will also be installed in the expressway. Trains will run at a speed of 100 km per hour on the expressway.
