Due to Hardik Pandya’s craze in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025, the venue of Baroda vs Gujarat match has been changed. The Baroda vs Gujarat match has been shifted to Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad due to huge crowd and increased need for security arrangements. This decision has been taken because of the extraordinary crowd that gathered to see Hardik Pandya.
According to officials, an unusually large crowd of fans was seen outside the team hotel, practice venue and ticket counters. This was many times more than normal domestic matches. The organizers believe that such a huge crowd had gathered solely because of the passion to see Hardik Pandya.
A senior organizer said, “The enthusiasm for Hardik Pandya is unbelievable. The fan turnout, inquiries and crowd pressure were far beyond our expectations. It became necessary to shift the match to Rajiv Gandhi Stadium to ensure a safe and smooth event.”
Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium is also known for international matches and IPL matches. Due to better security arrangements and high capacity, it was considered the best option to handle this unexpected crowd.
In the last two days, the same kind of bustle was seen in Hyderabad as it is during IPL matches. Fans are gathering outside practice sessions, carrying posters and banners, lines are forming for tickets and fans are expressing tremendous enthusiasm on social media. All this is happening regarding the presence of Hardik Pandya in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
India’s premier domestic T20 competition Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy is expected to attract a record crowd after the venue of the Baroda vs Gujarat match was changed.
