In the match against Mumbai Indians in IPL 2025, CSK gave Ayush Mhatre a chance to debut. He played a 32 -run innings in 15 balls in his debut.
Ayush Mhatre has now become the youngest player to debut for CSK in IPL history. He made his debut for Chennai at the age of 17 years 278 days.
Abhinav Mukund was the second youngest player to debut for CSK. He played the first match for Chennai Super Kings at the age of 18 years 139 days in 2008.
Fast bowler Ankit Rajput played the first match for CSK at the age of 19 years 123 days. Ankit made his debut in 2013 and that year he got a salary of Rs 10 lakh.
Mathisha Pathirana is currently playing for the CSK team. He played the first match for CSK at the age of 19 years 148 days in 2022. Pathirana has taken 41 wickets in 26 matches so far.
In IPL 2025, the name of Afghanistan spin bowler Noor Ahmed has also been added to this list. He played the first match for Chennai Super Kings at the age of 20 years 79 days.
