YouTube has launched a new subscription plan called Premium Lite in the US, which will be available for $ 7.99 (about Rs 695 per month). This plan is for users who only want to streaming ad-free video, but do not want to pay the full price of Standard YouTube Premium ($ 13.99 i.e. about ₹ 1,200). However, this low price means that there will be a shortage of some features. YouTube reported that this new plan will give ad-free experience on most videos, but advertisements can be seen during music videos, shorts and search-searches.

Even though YouTube has launched an affordable premium plan of US $ 7.99, but users will have to take care of some things in it. Of YouTube UnderYouTube music will not get access to the new Premium Lite Plan, that is, it will not have facilities like background playback and music download. At the same time, the new plan will give ad-free experience on most videos, but advertisements can be seen during music videos, shorts and search-and search-muding.

YouTube has also said that this pilot program has just started in the US and will soon be available in countries like Australia, Germany and Thailand. There is no clarity about India. The new plan can be right for users who want to see only regular video content without advertising, but do not feel the need for music streaming.

The company is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year and has so far reached 125 million (12.5 crore) subscribers, including trial users. With Premium Lite, YouTube is trying to give more and more people ad-free experience and increase its subscription base.

YouTube Premium in India Plans Talking about, the price of YouTube Premium for ad-free experience starts at Rs 129 per month. It provides access to YouTube music, background playback, downloads and youtube originals. The family plan is available at Rs 189 per month and the student plan is available for Rs 79 per month.
