Zimbabwe has announced its team for T20 World Cup 2026. Pakistani-origin Sikandar Raza is the captain, who is ranked second in the ICC T20 all-rounder rankings. Before Zimbabwe, 7 countries including India have announced their World Cup team.

Sikandar Raza is at second place in the ICC T20 all-rounder rankings with 289 rating points. He is an experienced player, who plays T20 leagues with many big players around the world. They will benefit from this in big events like the World Cup.

Zimbabwe cricket team is included in Group B in the T20 World Cup 2026, in which they are accompanied by Australia, Ireland, Oman and Sri Lanka. Zimbabwe will play all its group stage matches in Sri Lanka.

Teams from 8 countries announced so far

Zimbabwe is the 8th country, which has announced its team for the T20 World Cup. BCCI had declared its team on 20th December itself. Today Australia and South Africa also announced their teams. So far, India, Australia, Sri Lanka, Oman, England, South Africa, Afghanistan and Zimbabwe teams have been announced.

Let us tell you that all the countries have to submit their teams to ICC by 8th January. The deadline for making changes in the squad is 31 January. Talking about the format, 20 teams have been divided into groups of 5-5. 2 teams from each group will go to the Super 8 round, after which there will be a knockout stage.

Till the time of writing the news, Ireland, West Indies, Bangladesh, Italy, Nepal, New Zealand, Canada, UAE, America, Namibia, Netherlands and Pakistan have not announced their squads.
