According to sources, 12 people, including key accused in a case, Josham SK and Asmaul SK, have been arrested for keeping a woman judicial officer hostage for about eight hours on the Habtola-Amlitola road.
Let us tell you that the anti-terrorism agency said that three other people – Alamgir SK, Noorul Islam and Habibur Rehman have been arrested in connection with blocking the Baghmara bridge in Mothabari block. According to officials, it is also being said that on April 1, a large crowd that gathered to protest against the removal of names from voter lists turned violent and blocked roads, vandalized vehicles and attacked policemen.
There is also news that 7 judicial officers were taken hostage in the BDO office. Another officer was locked in the vehicle. After this, security forces reached the spot at midnight to save the officers. After the incident, political controversy intensified in the state before the assembly elections. NIA is investigating other accused and a bigger conspiracy.
