After the conclusion of the England tour, the Indian team will go on the Zimbabwe tour. Three T20 matches will be played between 23-26 July. BCCI has announced Team India for this series, in which most of the young players have been given a chance. Especially fast bowler Mayank Yadav has come under the target of critics.

Questions are being raised on the selectors as to how Mayank Yadav, who did not take a single wicket in IPL 2026, got direct entry into Team India. Whereas five bowlers who wreaked havoc in the recent season of IPL were ignored. Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s name is also included in these.

Bowler included to take zero wickets

Actually Mayank Yadav was making a comeback after recovering from injury. He played 4 matches for Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2026, but could not take a single wicket. His economy rate in the season was 11.38. So it is not that Mayank has bowled very tightly. On the other hand, the bowlers who took the most wickets of the season have not got entry in Team India.

There is no place for these 5 bowlers

Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Anshul Kamboj, Rasikh Dar Salaam, Karthik Tyagi and Saqib Hussain were undoubtedly among the best bowlers of IPL 2026. In IPL 2026, these five bowlers together took 101 wickets. But none of them have got a chance to go on Zimbabwe tour.

  • 28 wickets – Bhuvneshwar Kumar
  • 21 wickets – Anshul Kamboj
  • 19 wickets – Rasikh Dar Salaam
  • 18 wickets – Karthik Tyagi
  • 15 wickets – Saqib Hussain
