Former America’s Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) officer John Kiriaku has made a big revelation about Pakistan’s nuclear bomb making. He also told why America did not kill Abdul Qadir Khan, the father of Pakistan’s atomic bomb. The former CIA officer told that at that time America had complete information about Abdul Qadir Khan, but then their officer decided not to kill him.
‘US had complete information about Abdul Qadir’
In an interview given to news agency ANI, John Kiriaku said, “We had information about Abdul Qadir’s entire daily activities from his stay, but due to pressure from Saudi Arabia, instructions were given to stop that operation. One of my colleagues was engaged on Abdul Qadir case. If we had adopted the Israeli method, we would have killed him. It was very easy to find him. We knew where he lived.”
Saudi had made a request to America
The former CIA officer said, “The Pakistani scientist also had the support of Saudi Arabia. At that time the Saudis came to us and said please release him. We are working with Abdul Qadir. We are close to the Pakistanis. They (Pakistan) have named Faisalabad after King Faisal.”
He said that he later learned while working with the Senate Foreign Relations Committee that several officials of the CIA and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) had confirmed that the White House had ordered Abdul Qadir Khan not to be killed.
Kiriakou claimed that Saudi Arabia’s protection of Abdul Qadir may be linked to its own nuclear ambitions. He said, “We often wondered whether this was because Saudi Arabia was also developing nuclear capability. I think we should think about this.”
Who was Abdul Qadir Khan?
