The first match of the Women’s World Cup semi-final will be played on Wednesday, 29 October, which will be between England and South Africa. This match will be held at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. After this, the second semi-final will be played between India and Australia on Thursday, October 30, which will be held at Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy. Both of these matches will start at 3 pm.

  • First Semi-Final – Wednesday, October 29; England vs South Africa
  • Second Semi-Final – Thursday, October 30; india vs australia

Why Australia before India?

In the points table of Women’s World Cup 2025, Australia team remains on top with 13 points. It was already decided that whichever team wins the match between Australia and South Africa on October 25, will go on top. Before the match, Australia had 11 points and South Africa had 10 points in the points table. Australia became number one with the win.

According to ICC rules, the team at number one in the points table will have a semi-final match with the fourth-ranked team. Whereas India is at number 4 in the points table. India has one match left with Bangladesh in the league stage. Even if Team India wins this match, it will still remain at number 4 with 8 points, because the England team is currently at third position with 9 points.

England also has one match left with New Zealand in the World Cup league stage, but even by winning this match, England will have 11 points, due to which this team will reach second place in the points table. According to ICC rules, another match of the semi-finals will be played between the second-ranked team and the third-ranked team in the points table. Because of this, the first semi-final will be played between South Africa and England and the second semi-final will be played between India and Australia.
