Sri Lanka A team, which came out to chase runs, started the match very well. For a time it seemed that the match was too far out of the hands of India A team. Then due to the amazing bowling of Arshad Khan, India A won the match by 8 runs. Sri Lanka A team’s innings was reduced to 269 runs.

Sri Lanka A team now needed only 9 runs in the last 2 overs to win. Tilak Verma gave captain Ruturaj Gaikwad under pressure. The big responsibility of bowling the 49th over was given to left arm fast bowler Arshad Khan. What happened after this shocked the camp of Sri Lanka A team.
The batsmen ran and took 1 run on the first ball of Arshad Khan. Now Sri Lanka A team needed 8 runs in 11 balls. On the second ball, Arshad Khan defeated Vijaykant Viaskant with his speed. The ball went straight to the pads of Vijaykant Viaskant.
