When did Team India last win the toss?
The Indian team last won the toss in an ODI match in 2023. That was the semi-final of the 2023 ODI World Cup, in which Rohit Sharma won the toss of the match against New Zealand. Almost two years have passed since then, but the trend of Indian captains losing the toss continues unabated. India had lost the toss for the 18th consecutive time in the Sydney ODI match, although Team India was victorious in the match by 9 wickets. Rohit Sharma’s 121 runs and Virat Kohli’s unbeaten innings of 74 runs ensured the victory of Team India.
As captain, Shubman Gill’s winning percentage in the toss has been ‘zero’. Gill was seen captaining the Test team for the first time on the England tour. The Test series was tied 2-2, but Gill lost the toss in all five matches. Now in his first ODI series as captain, he has lost all three toss.
