England new captain: The England cricket team made a big announcement between IPL 2025. Many of his players are playing in IPL. Meanwhile, the England Cricket Board has announced the new captain. Jose Butler resigned from the captaincy of ODI and T20 format after being ruled out of the Champions Trophy 2025. Now Harry Brook has got the command of the team in his place. Brook has performed strongly for England on several occasions.
Butler received England captaincy in June 2022. He took charge after Ian Morgan’s resignation. England won the T20 World Cup in 2022. But after this, the team could not do anything special in the ODI World Cup 2023 and T20 World Cup 2024. England’s Champions Trophy 2025 also saw a disappointing performance. The team got out of the group stage itself. After this, Butler resigned. He was the captain of the team for about 2 years and 8 months.
