The Anti Gangster Task Force of Rajasthan Police has got a major success against organized crime. Notorious gangster Jagdeep Singh alias Jagga, active in Lawrence Bishnoi gang and currently associated with Rohit Godara gang, resident of Dhurkot district Monga Punjab has been detained in America. This gangster was living abroad and conducting criminal activities in India for a long time.
Additional Director General of Police Anti Gangster Task Force/ATS/ANTF Dinesh M.N. Under the direction of AGTF, this notorious criminal was kept under constant surveillance. Jagga was active for Lawrence Bishnoi gang especially in Punjab and Rajasthan and while living abroad, he has been involved in incidents of extortion and firing for the gang.
Three years ago he fled to Dubai on his passport and later went to America illegally. Due to bail jumping in various cases in Rajasthan, warrants were issued against him.
Cases are registered in Rajasthan and Punjab
Jagdeep Singh alias Jagga Dhurkot has more than a dozen cases registered against him in the state of Punjab and has been declared a proclaimed offender by the court. In Rajasthan also, cases have been registered against him in Pratap Nagar and Sardarpura police stations of Jodhpur, in which arrest warrants were issued by the court.
Jagga was involved in the case of firing on Dr. Sunil Chandak in Pratap Nagar police station area in March 2017 and threatening to kill him. In September 2017, he was in jail along with Lawrence Bishnoi and Anmol Bishnoi in the murder of Vasudev Israni in Sardarpura police station area of Jodhpur.
Successful monitoring and coordination of AGTF
The AGTF team raided Jagga’s hideouts under the supervision of the then Deputy Inspector General of Police Yogesh Yadav and current Deputy Inspector General of Police Deepak Bhargava. Later, detailed information about foreign networks was collected and coordination was established with the concerned international agencies. After this attempt, Jagga was detained by USA ICE near the Canada-USA border.
Extradition to India and further action
Gangster Jagdeep Singh alias Jagga Dhurkot is currently in the custody of USA Police. Legal action is being taken at the competent level to extradite him to India. After extradition, AGTF is expected to get information about other gang members associated with Jagga. On the basis of which another case will be registered under Section 111 of the Indian Justice Code and strict action will be taken against the people associated with organized crime.

Additional Superintendent of Police Sidwant Sharma, Narotam Verma, Police Inspector Ravindra Pratap, Sunil Jangid, Manish Sharma, Kamal Puri, Head Constable Ramesh Kumar and Constables Subhash Chand and Surendra Kumar were involved in this action.
