T20 International cricket is considered a game of sixes and fours. So far in T20I history, there are only 5 batsmen who have hit 150 or more sixes in this format. The special thing is that two Indian players are also included in this list. One is the one who gave new heights to this format, and the other is the two names who are the biggest stars of this format today – Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav.
Rohit Sharma – India
The record of T20 International cricket hitman Rohit Sharma is still unbroken. He has hit 205 sixes in 159 T20 matches played between 2007 and 2024. He is the only batsman to cross the mark of 200 sixes in this format. Rohit has always changed the course of the match with his long shots and put the bowlers under pressure.
Mohammed Wasim – UAE
UAE batsman Mohammad Wasim may not have earned as much fame as big cricketers, but he is not behind anyone in terms of sixes. He has hit 187 sixes in the 91 T20 International matches played so far. Due to small grounds and fast strike rate, Wasim has also made a name for himself in T20 leagues.
Martin Guptill – New Zealand
New Zealand’s experienced opener Martin Guptill is at number three in this list. Guptill has hit 173 sixes in 122 T20 matches. Famous for his timing and clean hitting, Guptill has played many match-winning innings for New Zealand.
Jos Buttler – England
England’s T20 captain Jos Buttler is at fourth place in this list. He has hit 172 sixes in 144 matches. Butler’s specialty is his aggressive approach, be it a spinner or a fast bowler, he has the power to send every bowler out of the field.
Suryakumar Yadav – India
India’s current T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav created history in the first T20 match played against Australia in Canberra. He completed his 150 T20I sixes by hitting a six off Nathan Ellis. Surya has now become the fifth batsman in the world to do so in this format. His 360° batting style and innovative shots make him the most exciting player in this format.
