
Due to festivals like Dussehra, Deepawali and Karva Chauth, children got a lot of holidays in October. But do you know how many holidays are going to be there in the month of November, let us know.

Important occasions like Guru Nanak Jayanti, Children’s Day, Kartik Purnima and Guru Teg Bahadur Martyrdom Day are coming in November 2025. Although school holidays will be less this month compared to October, but due to festivals and Sundays, students can get about 8 days of leave.

First of all, Guru Nanak Jayanti will be celebrated on 5th November. This day is celebrated with devotion throughout the country as the birth anniversary of the first Guru of the Sikh community, Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Schools are likely to remain closed on this day in states like Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Maharashtra, Gujarat and West Bengal.

Guru Teg Bahadur Martyrdom Day will be celebrated on 24th November (Monday). This day is celebrated to remember the martyrdom of the ninth Guru of Sikhism. Schools will remain closed on this day in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, while most schools in South and West India may remain open.

The festival of Kartik Purnima in the month of November also holds special significance. This day is considered very auspicious from religious point of view and due to fairs and religious events in many parts of the country, local holiday can be declared in some schools.

Apart from this, students will also get rest from the Sundays coming in November. This time a total of five Sundays (2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 November) are falling in November. That means one day holiday is fixed every week. In some schools, there is a half-day holiday on Saturdays or on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month, due to which the students get a little more break.
