Before the final match against South Africa on Sunday, November 2, Indian captain Harmanpreet says that he has faced heart-breaking defeats many times in the past. The captain said that now the time has come to forget those heart-breaking defeats and win the World Cup. The final match will be played in Navi Mumbai, which will start at 3 pm Indian time. Till now only England, Australia and New Zealand have won the Women’s ODI World Cup. This time women’s ODI cricket is going to get its fourth champion.
Captain Harmanpreet became emotional
Before the final match, Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur said emotionally, “We know how it feels to lose. But this time we want to feel how it feels to win. Hopefully, tomorrow will be a special day for us. We have worked very hard and tomorrow is a day of giving our all for the team. This is a proud moment for me and the entire team. I know that the whole country will be proud of us after seeing our performance in the last 2 matches.”
Gave success mantra to the team
Before this, the Indian team has lost the World Cup final twice. Team India also lost to Australia in the final of the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
Giving the mantra of success to Team India, Harmanpreet Kaur said, “When you are about to play the World Cup final, there cannot be a bigger motivation than this. The team is fully prepared, supporting each other. This shows unity and how prepared we are for this match. We knew long ago that the World Cup is going to be held in India and now the time has come for the team to give 100 percent.”
