During this period, it also won the T20 World Cup title of 2024 and 2026 under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav.
After T20 World Cup 2026, Shreyas Iyer was made T20 captain in place of Suryakumar Yadav. Iyer captained Team India for the first time on the UK tour, unfortunately he did not get a single win in the first 7 matches as captain.
