Israeli Defense Minister Katz has warned to intensify military action against Hezbollah in southern Lebanon. Israeli media, quoting Defense Minister Kautz, has claimed that the Lebanese President is taking action against Hezbollah. Amid rising tensions on the border, Katz accused Hezbollah of playing with fire and urged the Lebanese government to implement the disarmament agreement and expel the group from the south.
Defense Minister Israel Katz says Lebanese President Joseph Aoun is hindering efforts to disarm the Hezbollah terrorist group. Israel will take action if Beirut does not disarm the terrorist group.
Senior Hezbollah official killed in IDF attack
Katz said in a post on the social media platform ‘X’, ‘Hezbollah is playing with fire and the Lebanese president is procrastinating. The Lebanese government’s commitment to disarm Hezbollah and remove it from southern Lebanon must be fulfilled. Maximum enforcement will continue and deepen. We will not allow any threat to the residents of the northern region.
At the same time, the IDF has confirmed that it carried out an attack on the night of Saturday (November 01, 2025), in which a senior officer and three other members of Hezbollah’s elite forces were killed. On the other hand, regarding this attack, Lebanon’s Health Ministry said that four people were killed and three were injured in the Israeli air strike in Nabatiyeh district on Saturday night. According to Lebanese media, an Israeli missile fell on a car at around 10:30 pm.
Logistics chief the main target of IDF attack
Regarding the attack carried out in southern Lebanon on Saturday, the IDF said that the main target of the attack in Kafr Rommane was the force’s logistics chief. However, the Israel Defense Forces did not name the man, but said he was involved in arms transfers and efforts to re-establish terrorist structures in southern Lebanon.
The IDF says the three other people killed in the attack were also members of the force and that their actions violated the ceasefire. Lebanese media has named the four as Jawad Jaber, Hadi Hamid, Abdullah Kahil and Muhammad Kahil.
