Mimoh chakraborty on his debut film flop: The acting career of Bollywood veteran Mithun Chakraborty and Yogita Bali’s son Mimoh Chakraborty did not start well. He made her Bollywood debut in 2008 but the film flopped on the first day. At the same time, in an interview recently, Mimoh, who is now known as Mahakshya, has revealed that he was shocked to be a debut film flop.
Salman Khan helped in Bollywood debut
During an interview with digital commentary, Mimoh said that with the help of Salman Khan and his family, his debut was possible. Mimoh said, “Salman Bhai has helped me a lot. He has always been with me. He is like my elder brother. He loves my father very much. Salman Bhai suggested to my father that we should show Jimi’s teaser in theaters with his film partner. The partner was being released at that time. The film was given by Jimmy Sohail Khan.”
Then the trailer of Jimmy was linked to Salman’s partner and the positive response received it forced Mimoh to think that the film would be a hit. But the actor said that after the release of the film, he got a reality check.
Did not get out of the house for a year after the film flopped
Mimoh further revealed, “I went to the theater to see the partner with my whole family. The partner was houseful, Govinda was also making a comeback and when the teaser came, people became silent but after 5 seconds they started clapping. I was 24 years old at that time, I felt that I have come. People saw my dance and I started to play the stars and I started dancing. I am nice.
But on Friday afternoon, after the release of the film, the phone stopped ringing, the check bounced – everything in one stroke, at that time, my whole world broke. I felt that my life was over. I did not get out of the house for a year. “
Jimmy was badly beaten at the box office
Let me tell you that Jimmy, directed by Raj N Sippy, was also Vivana Singh and Rahul Dev. The film grossed only ₹ 1.86 crore at the box office. After this, Mimoh appeared in some films, but they all flopped, due to which she got a few roles in the mid -2010 mid.
Mimoh Work Front
In 2023, Mimoh made a comeback in films with a supporting role in Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer Jogira Sarah Ra Ra. After this, he appeared in the Telugu film Nenekkadunna earlier this year. The actor was recently seen in Netflix Series Khaki: The Bengal Chapter, including Prosenjit Chatterjee, Jeet, Saswata Chatterjee, Ritwik Bhowmik, Chitrangada Singh, Adil Zafar Khan and Parambrata Chatterjee.
