On the last day of campaigning for Bihar elections, Assam Chief Minister and BJP leader Himanta Biswa Sarma gave a controversial statement in a public meeting in Siwan. During the meeting, Sarma compared local leader and RJD candidate Osama Shahab with Osama Bin Laden without taking his name and said that all the Osamas in this country have to be eliminated one by one. He said that this country is the country of Ram-Sita and the supremacy of someone like Osama Bin Laden will never be accepted. Sarma said in the meeting, “My Hindi is a little loose, but I will still try to speak. Mother Kamakhya is in Assam, may Mother’s blessings remain here too. The name Raghunathpur itself is auspicious and this land has been the workplace of the country’s first President Rajendra Babu.”
“I thought Ram and Sita would meet, but…”
He further said, “The party sent me here, I thought we would meet Ram and Sita, but people said Osama is also there. I asked, Osama bin Laden is gone, who is he now? People said, he is the same small Osama. Therefore, in this election we will have to eliminate such Osama.”
What did the Chief Minister of Assam say by taking the name of Shahabuddin?
Taking Shahabuddin’s name in his speech, the Chief Minister of Assam said, “Father’s name was Shahabuddin, who made a Guinness record in murder. If it is not stopped here, it will spread across the country.” He also said that infiltrators do not have the right to vote. Rahul Gandhi had organized a yatra for them, but such infiltrators have been excluded from the voter list of Bihar.” He further said that when Hindus awaken in the country, no Osama or Aurangzeb will be able to stand in front of them.
