Senior Samajwadi Party leader and former minister Azam Khan has distanced himself from campaigning in the Bihar Assembly elections 2025. Recently, while talking to the media in Moradabad, he said that he will not go to Bihar due to security reasons, because there is ‘Jungle Raj’s rule’ there.

Azam Khan said, “I regret not being able to go there due to health and safety reasons, because people say there is ‘Jungle Raj’ there. Therefore, ‘Jungle Raj’ should end, and people like us should get the opportunity to be a part of restoring freedom and rule of law in the country. We want the voters to come together to save the country by voting for democracy.”

He had demanded security, but was given incomplete Y category security. In a statement given to ANI, he said, “If you have to give, then give full security, there is no point in half-hearted security.” He also appealed to the people of Bihar to vote and remain united to save democracy and humanity.

Don’t get divided on emotional slogans- Azam Khan

He said, “Then I would say that people should not divide their strength on any emotional slogan or any pretext. You should recognize those whose aim is to divide you into small pieces, hence you should have mercy on yourself, have mercy on this country, otherwise you may not get a chance again.” Let us tell you that Azam Khan’s name was included in the list of star campaigners released by Samajwadi Party, but now he has clearly refused to go for campaigning.

He said that voters should not be deceived by anyone and should think whether there is benefit in division or unity. Azam said, “Our aim is to save democracy, not to achieve position in politics.” He further said that we need such a politics which works to unite people and not divide them.
