Even before the films released this Friday, two films have been creating ruckus at the box office for the last several days. One of these is ‘Thama’ and the other is Harshvardhan Rane’s ‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’.

According to SACNL, ‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’ did a business of Rs 71.45 crore in 17 days. Today i.e. on the 19th day the collection of the film has reached 46 lakhs till 7:45 pm. In this way the film has collected a total of Rs 71.91 crore so far.

Talking about the worldwide collection of the film, the film has collected Rs 99.65 crore in just 16 days. If today’s domestic collection is added to the worldwide earnings of this film made with a budget of only Rs 25 crores, then it reaches above Rs 100 crores. That means Harshvardhan Rane has got the first Rs 100 crore film of his career.

Box office collection of ‘Thama’

‘Thama’ did business of Rs 127.1 crore in 17 days. Today i.e. on the 18th day, the collection of the film has reached 42 lakhs. That means the film has collected Rs 127.52 crore.

This horror comedy film starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna has earned Rs 176 crore worldwide in 17 days. The budget of the film made under the direction of Aditya Sarpotdar is Rs 145 crore. Despite decent buzz and good opening, this film is still yearning for the hit tag.

‘Ek Deewane Ki Diwaniyat’ vs ‘Thama’

‘Thama’ took a good opening and till now has earned more than ‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’. But in everyday collections this film is lagging behind Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa’s film. If we look at today’s collection, the same picture is visible. That means now ‘Deewaniyat’ has started defeating ‘Thama’.
