Actor Abhishek Bachchan’s makeup artist Ashok Sawant has passed away recently. Meanwhile, remembering him, actor Abhishek has shared an emotional post on social media.
Remembering his makeup artist Ashok Sawant, the actor shared an emotional note on Instagram on Monday. Abhishek told that he and Ashok were working together for the last 27 years. Ashok did her makeup for her first film Refugee (2000). Abhishek also shared some funny memories related to Ashok in the post.

Abhishek Bachchan also shared some pictures with Ashok Sawant, in which both are seen standing together. He wrote, “Ashok Dada and I worked together for about 27 years. He did my makeup right from my first film. He was not just a part of my team, but a part of my family. His elder brother Deepak has been doing my father’s makeup for the last 50 years.”
Abhishek Bachchan told that Ashok was not well for the last few years, but despite this he always kept checking on his well-being. He wrote, “For the last few years, he was ill, so he was not able to come to the set all the time. But whenever I used to shoot, there was not a single day when he did not talk to me.
He always used to make sure whether his assistant was doing my makeup properly or not. Ashok Dada was a very sweet, calm and friendly person. He always had a smile on his face, always ready for a hug and always had some delicious namkeen or bhakarwadi in his bag.”
I used to start shooting a film by touching my feet
Remembering Ashok Dada, Abhishek Bachchan wrote, “Last night we lost him. He was always the first person whose feet I would touch to start the shooting of every new film. From now on, I will have to look at the sky and believe that you will be blessing me from above. Thank you Dada for your love, your care, your dignity, your talent and your smile.”
At the end of his post, Abhishek wrote, “It breaks my heart to think that now I will go to work and you will not be with me. I pray that wherever you are, you are in peace. I will wait for that lovely ‘bear hug’ of yours when we meet again. May your soul rest in peace Ashok Sawant. Om Shanti.”
On this post of Abhishek, many Bollywood stars paid tribute to him. Jackie Shroff wrote, “Om Shanti, he was a very simple and lovely person.” Along with this, Priyanka Chopra, Navya Nanda, Saba Pataudi,
also expressed his feelings.
