These 11 seats were Brahmapur, Bochahan, Gaura Bauram, Simri Bakhtiyarpur, Sugauli, Madhubani, Kevati, Sahibganj, Balrampur, Alinagar and Baniapur. Mukesh Sahni himself had contested the elections from Simri Bakhtiyarpur in Saharsa district but lost to RJD’s Yusuf Salauddin.

Had suddenly changed sides in 2020

If we remember the election year of 2020, Mukesh Sahni suddenly moved from Grand Alliance to NDA. When the PC of the Grand Alliance was held and his party was not given even a single seat, he walked out of the program saying that he had been stabbed in the back. After this he joined NDA.

Became minister in government after becoming MLC

In 2020, four candidates of Mukesh Sahni had won. Musafir Paswan won from Bochahan, Swarna Singh from Gaura Bauram, Mishri Lal Yadav from Alinagar, Rajkumar Singh won from Sahibganj. At that time, BJP had made Mukesh Sahni an MLC and made him the Minister of Animal Husbandry and Fisheries.
