Ravindra Jadeja’s 12-year-old relationship with Chennai Super Kings may end very soon. According to media reports, he has signed the consent form for the trade deal to join Rajasthan Royals. Jadeja has won the Indian Premier League title three times with the Chennai team. Now a latest report has revealed that Chennai Super Kings had no intention of releasing Jadeja.

When the news of Sanju Samson leaving Rajasthan Royals came a few months ago, CSK was one of the first teams that showed interest in including Samson in their squad. Rajasthan Royals management got in touch with CSK officials and when they demanded a player in exchange for Samson in the trade, the Chennai team backed out.

Chennai Super Kings wanted to include Sanju Samson in their team by paying cash, but the RR team had its eyes set on Ravindra Jadeja. Now the trade deal has reached such a stage that in exchange of Samson, Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran can leave CSK and go to Rajasthan Royals. However, no confirmation has been made yet on this trade deal.

According to a report published in Hindustan Times, the CSK management including MS Dhoni was so eager to bring Samson with them that the officials even met Samson during the Major Cricket League in America. Since Dhoni has been suffering from knee problems for a long time, the Chennai team is in dire need of his successor.

Earlier, former cricketer Mohammad Kaif has also said that even if MS Dhoni has to sacrifice Ravindra Jadeja for the good of the CSK team, it would be right, because the arrival of Samson will open up another captaincy option in the Chennai team.
