Sanju Samson will play with MS Dhoni in Chennai Super Kings in the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2026). BCCI has made its official announcement, after which Sanju Samson made 2 posts. The first post was about separation from Rajasthan Royals and the second was about joining Chennai Super Kings.
Sanju Samson has joined Chennai Super Kings from Rajasthan Royals through a trade deal before the auction. His salary in CSK is only Rs 18 crore, which was also in Rajasthan Royals in the last edition. Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran, who were included in CSK, have been traded to Rajasthan Royals.
Sanju Samson’s first reaction on joining CSK
Sanju Samson posted a post on social media, in which he is resting on the beach. He is wearing a yellow colored hand band (which is also the color of CSK). In the caption, she wrote, “Vanakkam” and shared a yellow heart. Let us tell you that Vanakkam is a Tamil word, which means Hello in Hindi.
Earlier, while sharing a post with Rajasthan Royals, he wrote, “We are only here for a short time. Gave our all to this franchise, enjoyed great cricket, made some life-long relationships, treated everyone at the franchise like my family. And when the time comes, that’s when I move on. I will be forever grateful for everything.”
CSK will be Sanju Samson’s third IPL team
Sanju Samson started his IPL career by playing with Rajasthan Royals, he stayed in Rajasthan from 2013 to 2015. Samson played for Delhi Capitals in 2016 and 2017, he returned to Rajasthan in 2018. He has played 177 matches in IPL, in which he has 4704 runs in his name. Samson has 3 centuries and 26 half-centuries in IPL.
