Royal Challengers Bangalore has also included Yash Dayal in its retention list (RCB Retained Players List) for IPL 2026. This decision of RCB is being heavily criticized, because Yash currently has two serious criminal cases registered against him, including one case under the POCSO Act. Last year, RCB had retained Yash Dayal for Rs 5 crore.
Two separate cases are registered against Yash Dayal in Ghaziabad and Jaipur and both are related to sexual exploitation. Due to his retention by RCB, questions are being raised on the stance of the franchise. People on social media are divided into two groups regarding this retention. Some people even said that by retaining Yash despite serious cases being registered, the RCB franchise is giving a wrong message to the society.
RCB franchise has not issued any separate statement on retaining Yash Dayal. It has also not been clarified by the team whether it has contacted BCCI regarding the allegations against Yash Dayal or not. Let us tell you that Yash Dayal has not played any competitive cricket after the final of IPL 2025.
